I'm primarily a Fantasy player (WoC/HE) looking to try 40k and I have about 3k points of Tau in a large stack of boxes. I'm too late to join the Beer League this year, but I'm shooting for some experience and painting time before next year's league. I have a gaming table with loads of terrain for both 40k and fantasy so I'm able and happy to host games in my basement.

In the meantime I'll follow along and if anyone wants to take some time to help a newb learn I'd appreciate it!

Welcome! Keep your eye open on the forum, especially the "Open Gaming" thread. There's always guys looking to get games and painting hang outs in!

I often host "Beer and Bolter" days at my place in Morris. We all get together for games, bbq and beers.

Have fun and post often.
